dihydrogen monoxide injection!! Should I ???

Post by mgbv8 »

I'm toying with the idea of making a dihydrogen monoxide injection system to aid inlet charge cooling on top of the nitrous.

I'll possibly use it on the 2nd stage for the additional 150hp for 3rd gear on top of the 300hp I'm going to use for the first half of the 1/4mile...

Any comments???

Especially if you pee in the tank

And the urea can serve as an extra hydrogen source maybe giving you a few extra joules

Hi Perry
go to the pub first then pee in the water tank, the ethanol will help!
on a more serious note, yes I would do it, it will stabalise the combustion and delay detonation but with all that Nos you will have to inject it in right by the valve under pretty high pressure, I recon when all that nos is going into the engine there is probably very little being drawn through the carb so dribbling it in under the carb none of it would be reaching the cylinders.
Best regards

My thoughts exactly Mike. I'm already having regular discussions with several folk who cant see the spraying so much gas under the carb does knock the carb signal off somewhat... In fact it does really reduce carb input.

I presume you can run the stuff through EFI injectors, if so then a megasquirt controller could be made to controll how much goes in, a high pressure pump to feed the noxious liquid in and job done.
