Spider plate

I've decided to go for a spider plate to replace my old plate with 4 WON crossfires fitted. This should reduce the problem I have with the front two pots running lean at WOT.
Has anyone already got a spider fitted?
If so, have you any comments on it please..
Thanks

I would have thought No2 direct port injection would be more effective, and certainly get rid of the rich lean problem
BTW I beleive Ron Haslett has a 1000hp spider plate.

Ian,
The spider can be jetted at each 'leg' I believe, so this would give the ability to jet each cylinder individually.
I think the maximum that Ron has used so far is around the 400 mark, I believe restrictions in the amount the pipes can flow stops it going further at the minute?!? (but….as usual…im probably talking gibberish!!)
The spider is a nice piece of kit, intending to get one when I get round to sorting mine.

Ther spider should work out a lot cheaper than direct port, which is why it appeals to me. Cheap is good at the moment.

I've just had a good delve into the Spider plate on Trevs forum and it seems like it will be a good addition to my setup. And quite versatile too.

The ONLY system better than our Spider plate is our latest PRO series systems and they are only suitable for sheet metal manifolds. Even then the Spider comes very close and will certainly outperform any other direct port or plate kit from any other manufacturer.

The Spider has all the advantages of a plate plus all the advantages of a direct port system, WITHOUT any of the disadvantages of either.

Now that's what you call ADVANCED TECHNOLOGY!!!! 8)

Hello everyone.
I thought I'd pop in and say hello. As you've already pointed out I run a spider plate.we used to run a fogger system with 250 jets the fastest we ran was 11.21. when we changed to trevs spider with the same settings we ran 10.08 we also run the spider though one of Trevs Max Extreme programmers.I have just stroked the engine and as Iain has said gone bigger again on the jets so were going to try and get into the 8's.

wish us luck.

The Spider will perform better than a spray bar plate on your system Bones.

Ron!
I still want those T shirts from last years Easter Thunderball mate. And me and my Son still want a day out to help as pit crew for you on a SE day. Do you have any 2009 dates yet ??
