What kinda MPG can you expect from a Chevy V8 in a LANDROVER

Here some feed back on fellow in UK with our Chevy 383cid / 380 BHP
420+ FT LBS torque in his LANDROVER....

Hi Daryl
4x4 show on Sunday did 360 miles at 70/80 mph, mpg was 12.5 to 15 at 55 mph ran well. fond this on a 4x4 forum !!!!!!!!!! LPG is £0.51/ gas is £0.93 so x2 = mpg of 24 to 30

What kinda MPG are you lads get'n with Rover V8 engines?

Here one thats not going to get very good MPG 500cid K-B Hemi, Venny heads Moon blower LPG liquid injected.. 1000+ BHP

14mpg (UK gallons)

Last tank= 16.55 mpg.

Overall consumption over last 6290 miles = 15.0mpg dead on.

Thats in a LR 90 ragtop. No weight, but no aerodynamics either...

With the mirrors pulled in and head down @rse up I can get 12 to 14 ish on LPG with MegaSquirt.

We are talking Land Rovers here, presumably you're talking P6?
