how do i go about supercharging??

Post by stucain »

hey there, how would i go about supercharging my sierra?? i got a 3.5 V8 from a 1987 model range rover, was efi but now got holley 4 barrel carb, edelbrock headers, edelbrock pan filter, JWL inlet manifold.

im tryin to find out what steps i need to take to do a supercharger conversion, looking at also adding Nitros later. also where can i find an adequate charger for this, and what sort of output am i going to expect?? as she is at the moment, she's runnng approx 210bhp.
any other details you may need, just ask. many thanks peeps. :D

Hello I have for sale my Sprintex S102, it is fully rebuild with new teflon coating rotors and supercharger casting.
S102 sprintex on 3.5 Rover V8 is good for 303BHP@6000RPM and 323FTLB@3500RPM. I have some set up figures (BHP/Torque) realised by DPR (Dennis Priddle) for Rover V8 3.5 with ignition timing value, CR and pulleys ratio. Also I have the map of brackets to bolt the supercharger on the rover V8 as the sprintex of EFI Haughins kit was bolted.
You can use this type of bracket for an blow throught installation.
Cheers.
Dimitri

Good afternoon,

New to the forum, I came across this post hunting for info in the DPR conversions, myself and a mate have a running example of the 3.5 conversion. I’m interested to find more details of the particulars of the builds. The lower half of the inlet has been swapped for a Hotwire setup, and it’s currently running on a 3.9 map. Were now going to aftermarket to make the most of it.

Our engine is mounted in the rear of a unimog axled off-road buggy. Were running the forward facing the headers, which are now rear facing with the engine rotated.

It’s a completely custom build, built for 5 gate euro type trialling. She’s running 42” tyres on unimog 404 axles, 4 wheel steer and several other tricks

Hi, I have a Dennis Priddle DPR 1991 Classic Range Rover, was a 3.9 Vogue SE but converted by him to a 4.2 Sprintex supercharger, it does go well but I’d love any info on the DPR conversions if anyone has anything,

Phil.
