3.5 v8 supercharge options

Good day all.
I have a mgb gt with stock V8 and a 4 barell holley carb. I have given some consideration to a supercharger. I think the Low compression standard 150hp 3.5 would do well with a boost.
I have seen a few on line but would like some advice from anyone who's stuck a charger on a similar engine. Pros and cons.
Many thanks.

I supercharged my 3.5 using a centrifugal supercharger, these can mount anywhere on the front as long as the pulleys line up.
I did find the V belt was unsuitable to transmit enough power without slipping though.
Even a modest boost pressure gave a good 'seat of pants' improvement.
the benefit of the centrifugal supercharger is it won't interfere with your bonnet, however to get the most out of any supercharger/turbo - fuel injection and mapable ignition are better than carbs and mechanical dizy.

My first supercharged rover was a 3.5 with Land Rover pistons, IIRC 8.5 compression, I had a Wade ro34 about 5-6 lbs of boost,
Certainly ran ok, but power ,especially boosted power is addictive, and before you know it,
You’re hooked, you have been warned

So taking that its a standard spec 150hp engine. And assuming the engine is in good working order, would I get away with do little else. And would it pump through the holley

Yes, as long as you don’t have to much boost, get it on a rolling road to sort out the timing, (don’t ask me how I learnt the expensive way)
Put a grade cooler spark plug in, a boost referenced carb is best, but a good rolling road will sort it out (fatten it up) and make sure you’re ignition system is top notch

I had a 390cfm Holley, Real Steel upgraded it for me, but that was a lot of years ago
