custom pistons?

I was thinking of having custom pistons made, but to keep costs down have the crowns unfinished, has any one done this, whats the costs? thanks
How much are the pistons with unfinished crowns?
Have you spoken to Allan at V8 Performance parts who advertises on this forum regarding pistons???
