Yep gt45, because of space limitation would this work ok for a rear mount or would spool up time be slow?

Is 9.8 cr too high for a low boost?

Rear mount you might consider chinese GT35 clone..

The one from the ebay ad is good value for money. Have had those in hand and have taken them apart for inspection.
Where to big for my 2.6 V6 Capri engine but otherwise it seemed to be a good product.
Its T3 flange based.

Low boost shouldn't be an issue on an alloy 9.8:1 cr engine assuming you've got your fueling and ignition timing sorted.

You need the compressor map to figure out the sizing - few of these shady ebay sellers list the maps.

You don't necessarily need a compressor map to find a turbo. Just look at what other people are running on similar sized engines and work from there. Plenty of people running holset turbos and the comp maps aren't generally available for them. Holsets are great and relatively cheap, certainly better than some Chinese crap.

I've got a brand new Holset HX50 sitting here that I might be tempted to sell, would suit a chevy. I bought it for my 1uz but probably wont be using it for a while.

Depends where you're expecting or needing it to spool really. Obviously a rear mount will always be worse than a setup close to the engine

Whether it's too high or not depends on what feul/spark control you have, type of fuel, boost, charge cooling etc etc
