Yes...what did you buy ?

It may be usable with some work, and it may/may not flow more than the OEM one.

Open it up and see what the spring is like inside, and if there's just one or two.

A softer spring might make it more usable, and also if you opened up those holes larger or even slotted them, it might detract some of the horrible whistly noise it probably makes.

But all open valves will be noisy, there really isnt any way of getting around that. But some designs will be louder than others.

ie, like this ( I'm not saying to buy this, but just the more open design. )

But you're going to hear it either way.

Or just buy another plastic one, and stick one on the SC side, as well as the one on the throttle side. Again, route the vent somewhere so it wont be as loud with a bit of hose.

I use this ( not my photo )

And you can see all they do to quieten it and allow recirc or venting somewhere less annoying. It's pretty huge though, you certainly dont need this.

I will open it up tomorrow and have a peep,

whats causing the flutter then? air not getting out quick enough?
if so will the 25mm still be too small with the bov holes opened out?

It could simply be the spring is too strong and the valve isnt opening when it should.

Or it could be a lack of flow, but more likely spring is too strong.

It's 1" OD, so what ID, and how much travel does any sealing valve actually have ?

Not all valves with same diameters etc, can flow the same.

But really..cheapest and easiest, is two plastic ones. One before and one after the intercooler.

going to try and open up the holes this week/slot them and see if I have the lightest spring going in there, (have a selection with it)
and see if its any better once done, :D
