There are several people that can map the 14CUX these days, have you spoken to http://www.powersperformance.co.uk/ to see if they can help

Any MegaSquirt can be triggered from the ignition - same as the Hotwire. But it would be silly not to have mapped ignition too. I'm intrigued about there not being space for a trigger wheel. An option is to fit one on the engine side of the inner pulley. You may have to change the pulley if it is flanged type, or have a custom trigger wheel made.

Ian this guy may be your man he can map the Lucas and worked with the guys that cracked the software lots of happy TVR customers using the CUX/Lucas that he tuned/re-mapped although like yourself I also run a single Lucas plenum and struggle 238 solid cam etc etc and also struggle a little with the below 2k RPM lurch/surging I have considered going 8 TB,s which I know will get round the plenum charge robbing/contamination issue that creates the low speed issue http://www.kitsandclassics.co.uk/ I dont recommend easy either he is a good guy

Aye I hear that people have cracked the 4CUX code
3 years back I moved to just outside Edinburgh. So not overly local ........ so simple up here may be better!
Or one last possibility, change it to a Ford mill, but in comparison to the lightened balanced unit I have it will be a plodder and probably mean a dif change too to get revs lower!

Trigger wheel should take up negligible space.Ian Anderson wrote: ↑Tue Nov 26, 2019 6:37 amAye I hear that people have cracked the 4CUX code

Incredible motors but not in a GT40.
Actually I once considered the V8 turbo diesel from a landy but thought a second time and saw the weight!
