Cold air induction

I everyone, I'm looking at sorting out some sort of cold air induction on my Cobra replica fitted with a 4.6 lump, there is not all that much room under the bonnet so I was wondering what size induction hose I need to use. I plan to buy a kit that fits around the 14x3 inch filter, they come with either one 4" fitting, two 4" fittings or one 6" fitting. I guess the 2x4" hoses or 1X6" hose would be the safest bet but fitting that lot under the bonnet would be hard to do! Can anyone point me to an online calculator to work this out? Or does anyone have an opinion on this! :P

Seem to remember a goon who made something like that a while back and showed the process on here
He might be able to help you out

"A goon???", Cheers Mr. monkey!

Hang on a Mo, was it you who made something? If so what size inlet tube(s) did you go for and how did you decide to use whatever size you went for? :P :P :P

Hi Pete
Yes it was me the goon who did the induction system
I went for 3” intake tubing as I felt that maybe 4” tubes might slow down the airspeed intake
Of course I may well be talking spheres here but with the top filter in place on the housing I felt that the air coming in from the top would help draw air in from the front air filters
Also fitting 4” tubes would have been difficult to get in under the bonnet
You have my number so if you wanted you could give me a call
