Edelbrock Vara-Jection Water Injection System, any experienc

Post by baggers »

Hi guys, I picked up an unused Edelbrock water injection system at the Beaulieu Autojumble at the weekend, it's boxed but never used. Didn't come with an installation set of instructions though :(

Anyone got experience of this? Old piece of kit but I guess may be useful to gain some ignition advance, of just damned good fun to have a play with it and experiment with methanol mix.

Potential application is my MGB TVR 4.5 big valve running a 600cfm Edelbrock carb.

Oh, and does anyone have a set of instructions?

Cheers! :D

My initial thinking is WHY?

I know its great to experiment, but why do you think water or meth injection may be required for your road car? I assume that this IS a road car?

If your 4.5 big valve TVR engine is set up with the right carb it should do just fine in your MGB.

If you want to push that engine to the max by running more advance then I think that Meth only will help you?

Tell us what you want from your engine on the road and we will be able to help further I think?

Why? For £25 I simply couldn't resist. It is a road car and is just about finished, I will be doing track days and perhaps hill climbs. I don't have a strict need for this but I do like to play with stuff so I picked this bargain up. I'll leave it on the shelf until I do something with forced induction in the future (not in the B).
