How strong are they? i have turned in lathe rocker shaft hole bigger for bronze bush. Assembled with new rocker shafts. First time i did this was twelve something years ago for 3.5 carb engine. Good upgrade in my mind. No problems with 3.5 efi with hurricane cam and stock valve springs after four years either.

Now i am rebuildng 4.6 engine with crower 50232 cam and double valve springs.
Bronze bush O.D. is 23mm I.D. is 20mm

Are there any better rockers and rocker shafts than britpart and allmakes?
Too loose fit i think->not good for oiling to cam, crank and big end.

My question is are allmakes rockers too weak for bushing due increased spring pressure and more cam?

Roller rockers are too expensive for me😣

I have heard that, too.
I think it's the old B series engines from the Amazon rockers that work.[/u]

I think I still have a set of new steel rockers. I live in Helsinki so if you are interested I can try to find them.

Group A are 7/8" shafts, posts are steel and push rods to suit as well. As you say quite rare. I managed to get another set of rockers and shafts for spares but I still need to source posts and rods to suit

Great👍 I have set of steel rockers from blue box in my shed and set of adjustable pushrods. If yours are some other brand i'm interested.

Thank for other replies also.

I believe mine are from Rimmer Bros. No idea where they sourced them from.

Problem solved. I ordered Harland Sharp roller rockers with 1.65 ratio.
Pushrod end needs to be 5/16
Rocker bodies were out of stock, so those are ready to ship in 6-7 weeks.

472USD+shipping.

There was a bloke over on the Rover P6 Forum that made a set of Rocker Shafts for evaluation, but I don't know how far he has progressed with the plan to date.

Edit to add.... Sorry, I read shafts, not arms...duh!
