Car just finished mapping at Lloyds specialist developments

Post by jenko »

Had a great day out on Monday, took the car to Lloyds Specialist developments in Warminster who mapped the freshly (ish) built engine.

Spec is as follows:
Brand new 4ltr short engine
piper 270 cam
Canems ecu controlling ignition and fuel
modified Plenum to fit westfield
standard heads

Very pleased with the end result which was 203bhp at the wheels (around 245bhp at the crank). wonderful sound
Lloyds were fantastic, incredibly knowledgeable, very friendly service and really interesting day out. They had a couple of wildcat heads on the bench...my goodness those things are sexy!.

Sounds good I hope yours runs better than mine.
Yes the Lloyds brothers are nice chaps but they never managed to get mine running without misfire problems.
I ended up using 4 different mappers before finding the wiring issue that Lloyds created.
yours is a similar spec to mine when it was a 4.0L
have fun.

I just finished my friend 3.9 engine. Home ported std heads wirh std size valves. Bigger valves is waste of flow.
10.6cr.
Kent M226 camshaft
Ported intake with 45mm home made trumpets.
Home made 38mm exhaust manififolds.
Megasquirt 3x with wasted spark.

It will make 260hp/361Nm @ flywheel.

Hi , I have been considering a Kent solid lifter cam but (m228 ) I see you have a m226 and was hoping it may be a tad tamer than the m228 , but I can't find reference to a m226 ......dont spose you could pm me the spec's , and maybe where to get one should I like the spec's.
Thanks
Hamish
