Interim cover question?

Hello from the USA.
I am new to these engines and am working up a build with a 4.6 block, offset ground 4.6 crank, and 1964 Buick 300 heads.

Am wondering about the particulars of using the interim(?) front cover.

(Is this the correct terminology for the front timing cover with the crank driven oil pump and provision for a distributor?)

Will a standard harmonic balancer work with this cover? is the water pump driven in reverse? Is there a source for NEW interim timing covers?
Thanks, Tony

Yes your using the right name. Don't know if a standard damper will fit but probably yes it will although it will probably throw the spacing out so none of the other pulleys will line up. Another member here tried to find a new one a few weeks ago. He could get one but it was expensive, roughly $500 in your money plus whatever to get it to your door plus water pump and all that. Yes the pump goes in reverse to the non serp setup.

Thanks
Are they available reconditioned with a new pump installed?
