Rover v8 Std. camshafts

Hello
I have an 1983 17D engine (which i suspect has a worn camshaft) 9.35:1 compression from a Range Rover:
it should be rated at about 124-126 HP DIN at 4000 rpm. there is no restrictor in the inlet manifold! according to my knowledge they pared the high compression range rover engines with a low lift camshaft (ETC6849K1).
and a low compression(8.13:1) from 1976(with double valve springs) rated 130.2 bhp (97.1 kW) at 5000 rpm. Max torque: 186 lb ft (251 Nm) at 2500 rpm
To my knowledge this engine should have a std. rover camshaft same as in the rover sd1 carb. version(157hp DIN) The cam and lifters seems ok, the bottom end is seized....
I plan to use the camshaft in the 17D engine, how can i be absolutely sure that is a std.(ERC2003A) rover camshaft? How can i identify it?
The 17D engine is mounted in a 1967 volvo Amazon with m41(4 speed with overdrive) and 4.11 final drive the problem is that it runs out of rpm(valves swim) at 130 km/h via GPS max in 4. gear(1:1), that is about 4500 RPM(calculated) because of the overall gearing ratio. The std. volvo b18 engine delivers 75 Hp DIN at 5000 Rpm and can rev to about 6500 rpm.... I cant use the overdrive (type D)because it is worn or cant handle the torque....
So installing the std. rover cam could get me some more usable rpms?
I am currently also building a 11D 9.35:1 3.5L engine with SDI EFI cylinder heads and a new 3.9 EFI camshaft the plan is to fit it with EFI manifol from A 4.0 engine and Megasquirt 1 or 2...
