And 3 weeks to late viewtopic.php?f=29&t=15052
and in Germany, not Holland but just 300miles away.
Just have all the parts allready arrived for rebuilding the sourced 3.5.

So €900,- is the expected price for just a shortblock 4.6??, that needs a full rebuild & T hat liners.. No heads.
Linerjob with new cast pistons costs €3000 here and crank regrind costs €550 here. + parts to build it up.
Thats silly money for just building a 4.6. Better of with an Alloy LS engine then, money per horsepower speeking...
Better buy myself an engine that belongs behind the seats. 427FE. And I know where to get them just nearby 20miles...

Found out P6 pistons are the same as later SD1 only with less bowl. No less quality.
The combination Rhoads lifters and cam grind where calculated & recomended for the 3.5 build by Comp Camps. But who is Comp Cams.

Ian, my Citroen tranny is build to handle 450 lbft by Harry Martens. New correct turning CWP and Quaife ATB.

Just have to find myself a pair of Merlin heads...
'73 Ford Capri. 3.5 RV8, Magnacharger 110 Supercharger, Merlin F85 Heads, Water/Methanol Injected
'73 Ford F250, 6.7ltr V8

My thoughts on the 3.5 RV8? Forget it, LS is where I'd start... pick up an LS1 and a set of https://speedmaster79.com/chevy-gm-ls1- ... ete-satin/

No hugely expensive compared to some of the costs you have listed, more powerful, and would look the mutts nuts 8-)
No V8 at present :(

LS engines are nice but in some countries (like mine) it is mission impossible due to legislation.
