Could it be that the rear snout of the P6 crank is longer as SD1 ??
Apparently mine is ???
Top one is SD1 ( 3.5)
Bottom one is P6 and its about 2cm longer ( about 0.8" )
.
If this is the case I am stuck to the P6 crank Ill guess by the Citroën transaxle..

Re: P6 crank vs SD1 crank
P6B lipseal cranks are directly interchangeable with SD1 cranks. The P6B ropeseal cranks are the same dimensions but the seal land is different. My guess is that the lower crank in your pic has had an insert made up to suit your individual application..
Re: P6 crank vs SD1 crank
After very close inspection I found a weld. so indeed its made up for purpose of the transaxle.

Re: P6 crank vs SD1 crank
Bad idea, I need the extension as I am running the Citroen Transaxle. It holds the pilotbush.
fo now, I found a solid SD1 bare block, after a hone still in spec.
That will recieve myP6 crank and P6 10.5cr pistons

Re: P6 crank vs SD1 crank
Ah, sorry. I thought you needed the shorter one.
Can't you have the back of the crank turned out to the biggest size safely possible and have an extension press fitted with the crank heated up to allow maximum expansion and the bit being fitted blasted with a CO2 extinguisher?
Cheers,
John
