SD1 head bolts

Hi I am new to the forum I was looking for some info I have a 3.5 SD1 v8 engine I am putting in my MGB but the question is do I need to replace the head bolts and the crank bolts as it has a metal head gasket the engine is a 1976 to 86 with 28 head bolts all help welcome

If you have it opened up, then I'd do it as a matter of routine. You never know what the previous owners have got up to before you.

As for the head bolts, the outer row only needs to be nipped up lightly or even left out for best results.
