Does anyone know if the reliefs in the Chevy 305 pistons line up with the valves in a rover v8. I'd like to use them in my build but seems silly if they don't line up.
Cheers

They don't line up at all. We run these pistons in a dragster, for or purposes it's no issue as we don't need valve reliefs with a blower cam, I am sure they make a dished forged piston in the same size. You could then put in any reliefs you need to suit your application. The stock 305 pistons on a 6" rod in a 3.9 block make around 11.5 - 1 compression with a 40 thou head gasket. The pistons are 3 thou out of the block at TDC.
