Mallory vacuum advance unit

Hi all and a Happy New Year!
My 2768902 Mallory distributor has a non functional vacuum advance unit.
I believe these are as rare as hen's teeth but if anyone knows either:-
a) where to get a replacement (p/n 29332) or
b) if there is something similar out there that can be modified to fit?
