wasted spark dwell times

Post by Seight-V8 »

Hello all,

Does anyone know the dwell times needed for the rover V8 GEMS type wasted spark coils.

Currently I have 3.52ms, just wondering if this is a good setting.

everything thing works, would just like to confirm its ok.

thanks
scott

Mine is set to 2.93ms running and 5,86ms while cranking. Guess this is the Emerald default settings

Best way to test is with a current clamp and a scope, to see what the coil actually wants.

But if all is fine and working with say 3ms, and the coils arent burning out...maybe not a lot of reason to change it.
