Pics of the circuits would definitely help.

OK I will get the drawings out tonight and start to go through them, then post one at a time.

Stevie I can't power anything up at the moment because the short appears to be between the battery and fuse/relay board.

You'll see what i mean when i get pics etc.

Cheers!

If you pull all the fuses, is the fault still there?

Dave, there's no power getting to the fuse board because the short is between the battery and the fuse board by the looks of it. Sorry, just up the wall here at the moment and haven't had time to even look yet.

Can someone tell me how to upload images? Do I need to use a hosting site still? If so can you recommend.

I use ImgBB. But others are similar. Upload your pic to it, then set 'embed code' to 'BBcode full'. Copy and paste that link here.

When you post, look below this box at the tabs. Choose the 'Attachements' one, press the 'Add FIles' button and select your photo files.

Once uploaded, the 'Place Inline' button will put the photo where ever the text cursor is.

Ok let me try this IMGBB. Here is a pic of my boot build wiring, for the two fuel pumps, twin fans, brake lights and warning light.

Power to the fuel pumps sub-loom comes directly off the 150amp breaker (so not via a fuse board)
The two blue lines are ECU triggers (fan and fuel)
green line is a manual switch for the warning light

Ok so this is the main wiring loom for the battery feed/breakers etc, apologies for how crappy the diagram is. The scribbled out bit in the middle is supposed to be the starter button part, which I drew out separately above.

I know it's not great. I have another drawing somewhere of the actual fuse board, relays and all that. But I think it's this one that has the problem at the moment. Apologies again I have not gotten out to the car to test my new earths that I put in, so not sure if i still actually have the short or not!

Not looked through them all - but one thing stands out. You're using an MS3? That supplies a ground for the fuel pump relay, not a switched 'live'. As do pretty well all of the MS outputs.

I'll have a better look at them on a decent size monitor.

I'd not be able to comment on anything which is race regs specific.
