Dirt shield

Post by steve b »

My engine doesn't have a dirt shield covering the flywheel and I think it should have one but not sure on which one I need?
It's a 86 engine with a BW auto bell housing (ford gearbox) ,I can see 4 potential mounting holes on the bell housing, two on the flat side at the bottom and two higher up, one lower down than the other.
Two holes in the block facing down.
Any suggestions
Thanks
Steve

You need one from a Rover P5B or P6B auto.

Might be easier/quicker to just make one out of some flat ali sheet?

Found a NOS shield for a P6 manual and it's a perfect fit.

Manual has an extension for the slave cylinder so that will stick out on a BW bellhousing.
