Rpi engineering kickdown linkage

Post by James 33 »

Is anyone using the above linkage with the edelbrock carb on a ZF4HP22 gearbox? Just ordered one for mine and was wondering how best to set it up and how well does it work?

Dunno about the linkage specifically, but with the kickdown, you can feel resistance in the cable when you go through the kickdown point. Just set that somewhere that feels about right. It's not critical in my experience. Once you can drive it, just adjust the cable until you are happy.

Thanks I fitted the kickdown linkage yesterday and found it has enough travel so it's fully in when the throttle is closed and fully out a full throttle. Set it up like that and works well. I had it cable tied to my throttle pedal before and it was never spot on.
