Chimaera diff rebuild

Has anyone any experience of the BTR diff in the Chimaera? I think the same diff is used in Morgans and Marcos also.
Mine has an iritating clunk when you pull away or let the power on and off. It has play in the output shafts both fore and aft, up and down and in and out. I don't think there is any more backlash than expected though and it makes no whining noises. The limited slip still works too.
Can the output shaft bearings be changed without taking the diff completely apart? Or, is there some literature somewhere with figures for preload and backlash etc if I were to rebuild it myself.
