I'm now running the R380 gearbox with no issues what so ever in the past 8yrs so far,

At least that is a relatively easy fix. 5th is in the aluminium housing and doesn't require a full teardown of the box.Dixie6789 wrote:My 5th gear has gone. Other than that my box has done 13,000 miles in the Cob.
Looks like I will dropping it and hopefully repairing.
That is, if you are not going to do bearings at the same time.
Worth replacing the pump gear while you are in there.
