T5 rebuild Kit

Post by Devonrod »

Does anyone know if a Ford rebuild kit M-7000-A fits the Cosworth T5 box ?
I know Burton does a kit, but its a 12 week wait, I cant find more suppliers in the UK.

Most of us use gearboxman for T5 parts,
He does Quaife internals if you're interested

I have contacted him, it works out at £624, and that's just for bearings seals and labour.

Don't forget you're also paying for his years of experience, the use of his equipment & also a guarantee.

Thanks for that, didn't find them when searching, have emailed to see if they do a kit, the one burtons sell and the USA ones are a 94 part kit, I have just spent the last two days helping rebuild a friends T5 with a kit that was purchased several years ago when the kits were more available.

Is it apart yet ? Does he even know which parts it needs ?

Might not even need half of the kit ?

We have rebuilt my friends gearbox, it was in good condition, we replaced everything anyhow, as he had the full kit, I have hurt my back so cant pull mine at the moment to see what its like, have since discovered that the Burton kit and some of the ones for sale in the USA don't come with the first gear needle bearing and sleeve for some reason ? that link you gave got back to me and they don't sell kits.
I have found two places that sell a full kit, I am asking a new question on here in case I have to buy a new gearbox.
