I find it easier to remove the bearing cap, or at least loosen it, which really means removing it to put new seals and sealant in place. Check those push-rods are true if they have been making contact with the heads they are tubular and may be bent now, you can safely drill the holes out to 12/14mm but like mentioned better to custom elongate them so you only remove required material 8-)

The rocker shaft bolts are 3/8 UNC no question 8-) not UNF

There is no oil splashing around till the car is driven and the input shaft front and rear bearinga are the last to see lubrication, 80s Nissan FWD gear boxes had an internal funnel arrangment for both mainshaft and coutershaft to promote this you never run one of these boxes for long periods follo...

Had the same problem with a freshly decked block and true heads using Elring HG's and ARP studs, initially I thought it was from the front valley area block to intake I was wrong 8) when I cleaned off the area I found the real reason a re-torque of the heads sorted things out there was still residua...

Ah yes sorry, too use to seeing top hatted blocks or in my case severe deck reduction to the point my chamfer is near non existent, your correct of course 8-) that chamfer wasnt one of Rovers greatest moments and not necessary IMO I think that they put the huge chamfer on the bores so that the blok...

:whs Elrings are 95mm bore anyway and a 0.5mm fire ring protrusion on the circumference isn't going to cause issues 8-)
