GM 180 box has a modulator on the box that when the internal diaphram goes bad allows the engine to suck gearbox oil in
just a thought

Hi Paul, The spacers have not been available for years :cry: I know a lot of people who have reshaped them over a bar of steel, not ideal but have not had any problems. You will need a bloody big socket and spanner to undo the pinion nut and a method to hold it still, this is what i use, a ring span...

Hi Kevin, Yep made of steel but unfortunatley no markings on them, the mystery continues. Hi Dave, The calipers are Girling made, from a Audi UR Quattro, they were ideal as the handbrake linkage is on top of the caliper. The discs are front Austin Maestro, the TR has 4 stud fitting rather than the 5 on the SD1 I used VW Mk 4 Golf cables which i took a chance on by buying a set of Feabay ...
