Is it possible to buy a 3.5 Rover V8 sump gasket in rubber ? I am not happy with the cork type gaskets that seem to leak or weep in a very short time, I am not over tightening them either, its just that they are pants !
any ideas on suppliers if they do exist ?

I see, so me milling up a lump of alloy to make a nice new compact pulley will do the engine no favours. dammit !! Is there perchance a company who sell nice shiny new pulleys with the rubber damper ring ? this thing on the front of the motor looks like a blind man designed it. Thanks for the info s...

The wheels fitted to the Manta are Borbet A. they are 16inch with 215/40/16 tyres. the engine is a 3.6 Rover V8 with an unknown LT77 5 speed manual box. At the moment the axle is standard manta but the SD1/manta hybrid is almost ready to go in. I will look at the box tomorrow and get the numbers off...

I have a Rover V8 (3.6, offy 360, edelbrock500) and an LT77 manual box. I have removed the diff casing out of an SD1 axle by cutting and removing the axle tubes and have fitted the axle tubes from an Opel Manta so i have the correct spring hangers and halfshafts to allow me to run manta wheels. The ...

I have a pair of home made mild steel exhaust maniflods on my Rover V8, they are very smartly made but even if i paint them with VHT paint inside a few weeks they go scabbly looking again with surface rust. I want to get some of that exhaust bandage stuff and wrap them up. Is it worth it ? is this s...

I had thought about the T5, how hard is it to find a bellhousing for one of these ? The other thing that crossed my mind was a 6 speed box, were these fitted to TVRs ? I would imagine them to be quite pricy if they do exist. one of the problems i face is i am down in Penzance in cornwall so not very...
