I fitted a new coil from http://www.simonbbc.com/powerspark-ignition-coil A big difference, the spark is mutch brighter and starting is much better. Even today 1 clik and vrooooaaaam it also idles much better !! 8) ( start on lpg no gas tank anymore) I always thougt that a coil could not become weak...

He has taken the engine to a local machineshop, the guy told him he could measure the piston rods. And recondition the bores
He could collect him today, price 600 € :o

I will make the gap around the fan smaller, i made it big enough so when wadding the fan won't hit the cowl. To much clearance it seems :?
Also i wil make a "shroud"

I think my problem is that i don't have a plate around the tunnel. I called land rover to get a origenel one, to much money for me, will make my one :D

EFI models have a viscous fan that 'locks up' when hot. Needs the later matching water pump. But it is more efficient than the normal viscous one. Once it is hot and you start driving again how quickly does the temperatue drop? Ian This depends on the weather. Quick enough when i also use the heater fan. Not cool enough

After winching and getting stuck with the def V8 the temperature rises very fast and hard. I have a autobox fitted and the cooler sits directly in front of the rad ( transaver cooler) If i drive no problems, if it sits stil even at idle the temp rises. Unless i keep the bonnet open. Just did a testrun, it is just freezing so the box is cold. Everything just workt fine, with the engine warming up the gearbox also got smoother. Nothing helped i tried many hours. A friend of mine came over and when i took him for a testrun everything worked just fine :shock: :D Perhaps some air in the governor ? Mabey something that the valve has been sticking inside the box. Very strange... The combo off the crower camshaft and the autobox...

I placed the kit on my V8, looks great however on the testdrive i found that. Just phoned Ashcroft to be certain, they say don't drive the vehicle you will damage the gearbox.
So i just have to waith for my kickdown bracket from rpi to arrive.

If i disconnectd the kickdown calble to drive to the mot can i damage the gearbox ?
It is the only thing that has to be done before mot :?
