Santa Pod are starting to enforce some new rules that they arent telling anyone about :?: with regards to 150+ and sub 10s cars. If only they would just email people explaining exactly what they require, although I know a few people are basically sticking 2 fingers up to them, and shifting their rac...

The old M3's and M5's used a dogleg Getrag.

Good strong boxes apparently, and they cost a fortune to repair.

The problem is.....that more material needs removed from the head side...as opposed to the open side where the drill bit will naturally tend to wander.

The hole doesnt need to be big....its just a pain to get it drilled in the right spot.

Just get the engine from a Camaro. It will fit nicely...stick and all. I had a Rover V8 with LT77 in my Granada. This required the shifter hole cut rearwards slightly over the Ford position. I then fitted a Supra box...which was almost back to Fords position. With my LS1/T56....I needed to trim the ...

There will be a coolant temp sensor somewhere.

Carbs would be a very backward step over a good efi setup.

Never heard of Bearmach.

I think I just used AE bearings in my old Rover engines. Another common make available, is ACL...not sure if they list for an RV8 though. They make good bearings.

Just boils down to caliper design really...

Some have internal crossovers, some dont.

I guess those that dont, could be made more compact, perhaps stronger, and allow bigger brakes, inside a smaller wheel.

Id rather have one flexi hose, than 2 though.

The specs on Ross forged pistons, do tend to be quite big. 5-8thou wouldnt be uncommon depending on application !!!

Which is huge really.

Heads are almost always worth it IMO.

As to what spec....depends on your budget. But I say always buy the best you can afford. that way you wont regret doing it later, and want to buy better.
