the v8 uses the longer clutch arm pivot,
short clutch arm pivot is 2.6 sd1 etc, ive been playing with these recently myself for my twin plate clutch,

we have now gone with a hybrid bearing/carrier, as after lots of reading on clutches and transmissions etc they all state rounded finger clutch covers MUST use flat faced bearings only, and not the domed one as in most rovers etc, so watch this space to see if our hybrid set up works :) which clutch...
