Hi I would look at the pump and fuel lines and connections, it sounds to me that there is air getting into the lines and allowing the fuel to drain back to the tank causing the initial staring problem also check the fuel filter for cracks and leaks. I suspect the pump is tired and is struggling with...

Hi deck height (distance from crank centre line to top of block) = stroke/2 + piston compression height + rod length therefor for a fixed deck height and compression height your 2 variables are stroke and choice of connecting rod length. An example BBC deck height is 9.8 inches, and with a piston co...

Hi Perry
the only problem is that banning NOs on the grounds of it being used by those "dangerous druggies" looks good to daily mail readers and ultimately that is what this government cares about.

Hi would you not be quicker with higher overall gearing to get rid of that upshift just before the finish line? It might also get away from the upshift right after launch. Could you launch in second maybe and pick a bit there? It just seems you have the clutch peddle on the floor for a large part of...

Hi are they a match for your rods and stroke? is the bowl shape correct for the rover heads? just they don't look very rover to me, "stroker conversions" doesn't really tell you very much about intended use. . . With chevy 5.7" rods that is a stroke of just over 4", with a 6" chevy rod it is 3.4" pr...

Hi Stevie
I don't think people who are quite happy to take tomato fertiliser and toadstool neurotoxin to get their kicks are hardly going to bother if their NOs is catering or industrial grade. . .that is unless the industrial grade is cheaper in which case it will be first choice!

Hi the rubber is cast between the two halves of the damper (centre hub and outer ring) and then vulcanised in place thus bonding the two parts together. as it gets older the rubber perishes and cracks and will eventually turn to granules, however before that if it is used as a damper it will at some...

Hi
looking at the picture the rubber in that damper is very perished and split. Please tell me you do not propose to refit it, if/when that lets go it will make a right mess!

Mike
