Mine is a p5b 10/5/1 engine too. Thread size is 13/16 or m20. The filter I have suggested is perfect. The full size filter will not fit as the cross member is in the way. I have stag mountings welded onto chassis.

I have just had the same issue on my Triumph 2500 with rover V8. The best one to go for is Halfords HOF 318. Its much shorter for better fitment in tight spaces and is also wider than the original so holds roughly the same volume of oil. I gave the part number to Europarts and ordered another 3 made...

Forgot to say, I think the filter needs to be 13/16 size thread. Or is that M20?

Hi all. Can anyone tell me what oil filter is the shortest that will fit a P5B engine? I have done an engine conversion on my Triumph 2500 and need a shorter oil filter without having to fit a remote oil kit. Cheers
