take the battery off, charge it, remove the plugs, put them in the oven after the sunday roast is finished and cook for a while,
Reconnect the battery, Floor the throttle, turn the engine over for 30 seconds, refit the plugs, if they are hot even better,
Then try to start the engine.

Pel, You are a dab hand with Devcon, just need to buy a bigger tub, As you want to keep to BL, If it was me, I think I would be looking as a pseudo BL short engine, there must be a few smaller capacity engines laying about within the drag racing circles. I know this will run against the ethos of the...

Ideal oppotunity to have the crank offset, depending on what rod size, but SBC or BBC will give you a huge choice in cheap rods, but then screws you tith the unavailability of pistons in the right bore size, Thinking outside the box again, Remember those pistons I had, oversize Ford Modular pistons,...

The earlier engines were, as Denis said, held in position by the thrust from the cam gear, there was a available a aftermarket cam button, which, bolted into the end of the cam, replacing the bolt, it was essentially a longer bolt and locknut with a domed, polished head which was adjusted by trial a...

timber wedged in the crank is ok, but make sure you are not resting against a rod.
Before you give it a hard time with a windy, A good heavy, sharp blow on the bolt head, then, get a BIG breaker bar, and tighten the bolt!!!, then try to undo it, you may be surprised

Getting closer Perry! Can you do anything about the obvious asymmetry in the launch, where the passenger side front wheel lifts much more than the drivers side. A torque tube maybe? Chris. Nah its easier than that, ballast the left side, by converting it to LHD, :D :D :D  More fact than fun, :...
