Indeed - I'm sure it's been done with SU's before - i remember reading about it on the megasquirt forums years ago.

I wouldn't bother personally - all seems like too much hassle. I assume you particularly want carbs over a bolt-on efi setup?

Here's a full write up I received from the creator of the Boxer manifold - Martin Goodwin which can be found on my Rover V8 Manifold archive page: http://www.mez.co.uk/ms12-new.html "The Boxer Quad SU system was developed in 1993, primarily for the for the off-road market, after Dave marsh ( M.D. of...

Without wishing to open a can of worms, but wouldn't a high overlap cam be used in a n/a application rather than forced?

At least on the hotwire setup, if you remove the water heater under the throttle you need to ensure the two holes in the left side of this picture are plugged up - as they go direct into the manifold and cause an air leak which causes rough running. http://www.mez.co.uk/wpimages/wp6b8b3620_05_06.jpg

I've been over to a rolling road in Doncaster DN12 2AQ, chap named John Sleath. He is conversant with the weber, and has all the tuning kit, control rods jets etc. Yes John is reputable - give him a buzz first though to make sure he's familiar with the Edelbrock carbs, would be suprised if he's not.

I happen to have Gems and Hotwire plenums at the moment (I sell bored out 72mm plenums) - they are the same height, but the gems is more square. Here's a photo of them side by side: https://www.flickr.com/photos/143693446@N03/34204513711/ The manifold base is the same. The hotwire plenum will work o...

Thor manifold will give you more low end torque - given you said you fitted a towing cam, i assume you are 4x4 ? Which would suit this manifold. I believe you can fit the hotwire fuel rail to the thor manifold - or simply modify the existing thor rail and plumb in a 3bar FPR on the dead end and conv...

it's nothing new. The only thing that has changed is that browsers now (rightly) warn that you are running over http. Pistonheads that has tens of thousands of users has only just gone over to https after alot of moaning! It should be relatively easy to implement on this site - but requires a commer...

I doubt that's an issue now that the car is on the road....

Anyway - anything pre-cat (~1991?) will piss past emissions if it's tuned nicely or injected.

I wouldn't want a cooling compromised block in mid engined setup. A 302 block is hardly unobtainium - sell it and start with a normal block.
