Next time you are out driving have a look at new truck (articulated) trailer lights A lot of them are now on round "hamburger" lights (I would think 4 inch but could be less) in led units and they look very neat (flat and the cases were also not deep (Ok I should pay more attention to the road) I wa...

It's a bad earth on the system AKA a short Or the Alternator is knackered So the battery voltage is so low the ECU and fuel pump don't work -originally enuf to let the engine run but not enuf to work properly It has now drained the battery enough for it not to restart. Get your multimeter out and te...

Ok I'll try again. Presuming you are running from a Lucas ECU - it has a single relay that operates when ignition is on(times for 3 seconds after engine stalls and then cuts power) This would normally power 1 pump in something like a range rover. So now you need to run 2 pumps So from the Ecu take 2...

I've heard a dremil cutting disc workd well - again take it slow or the rubber and wires all snarl up together and fray up Or a sharp cold chisel and hammer! I was told that it is best to take 2 feeds through 2 relays - one for each pump. The pumps can spike on start up so presumably this is the rea...

Leigh I had similar very high temperatures on the headers - discoloured the stainless badly and at £800 they are not likely to get replaced for a shiny set soon! As it ran more it calmed down but I did loadsa checking and had it to numerous "specialist" to check the EFi which is what I thought was f...

Leigh Presuming it to be a 14CUX the power only works for 3 seconds when you turn it on - and then picks up a feed from the disributor - engine runs and the relay kicks in again - stall it and in 3 seconds the circuit cuts. - A but of a bugger to test unless you have a helper to turn the key when yo...

2 things to look at 1) Volume of air they move 2) Current they draw More air movement normally means more cooling So long as the air goes through the rad and does not escape around the sides etc The current drawn - probably need to have them wired through relays and separate fuses - a single thermos...
