Re: No spark at plugs

How decent is the spark from the king-lead? You say you have 12v and a non ballast (12v) coil - which means your coil is correct? Even if you have a ballast coil, you can try hard-jumping 12v direct to the coil+ to eliminate all wiring and the 12v boost wire from the starter (or a relay) - dont leav...

Re: Air suspension pneumatic tube

doesn't appear to be anything special to me.

Had considered adding air suspension to the dakar, but wondered if there's any difficulty with insurance, as it's a fairly fundamental (if simple) change.

Re: Ported plenum adjustments

Even as someone who sells 72mm plenums, I would have to ask why you think you need a 72mm plenum?
What other supporting work have you carried out? Do you still run an air flow meter?

Re: Ported plenum adjustments

(I make the 72mm plenums) As described above, you need to centralise the throttle plate inside the bore. There's two screws that clamp it, the ends of the screws are flared apart to retain them - you may be able to loosen them enough without squashing the threads back together in order to be able to...

Re: High Hydrocarbon readings

6 Years later - time for an update. Yep, Seriosly - this car has been parked up that long since failing it's IVA - due to the owner having house moves etc. Had time to get the engine running up to temperature and adjust the fueling to around 14.0afr - where it idles the best, any leaner and it seems...

Has phpbb evolved from how it used to be, where the minute you made any customisations your BB effectively became an unpatchable and therefore unsupportable nightmare? I lost interest in mine after doing all the customisations and then not being able to patch it - well, not without re-doing all the ...

I think in the early days of Megasquirt Bruce plumbed several meters of vacuum tube into a working system to prove that it made no difference.

I was reading a post over on pistonheads the other day which compared the parts inside the varios rover v8 engines. I cant find it right now. It's a Kent cam iirc. dug out this lost page on the wayback machine: https://web.archive.org/web/20081204160147/http://www.btinternet.com/~jon.wolfe/kentcamda...
