I think the sump in the photo is a bit deep for a Westfield. I thought the recommended was an SD1 sump.

A few have gone with the flat/shallow sump that I think John Eales makes/made. Take a look at Graham Smith's website: http://www.seight.net/sump.htm

Oh crap ...... I thought my tale of continuous two steps forward one back was bad enough.

Stupid question - have you asked AP directly about getting a bearing?

For what it's worth i'm using: CP2394-14 + CP2346-4 cover/plate CP3859-54 slave Cover looked like this when i got it: http://thumbsnap.com/t/PuyM2Nqx.jpg Which needs a flat bearing. I had the centre 'boss' removed so i just have straight fingers now on the cover and therefore can use a round bearing...

Why does it need to flat one?

What does your clutch cover look like - does it just have the spring fingers?

I'm using a round one with my T5.

I got one off John Eales. They're pretty cheap casting quality but brush up ok.

Chances of the groove lining up on a different engine in a way that makes it leak are slim I reckon. A different solution though maybe to just shim your pulley, water pump pullet and alternator a little to move the grove away from the seal.

Cant for the life of me remember what I fitted but i 'think' i went down in size in order to get an easier pedal - bigger bore means short travel and harder pedal, i think, but it's past my bedtime!

It's still fairly stiff with the 'green spring' clutch cover.

My John Eales bell housing had the mounting position for the Saab slave machined into it, I measured and measured before having it machined down to the right height and shape for the AP slave with 6mm clearance when fully retracted. I was a bit nervous I was about to f it all up.

No, copper from the slave and through the bellhousing to a bracket i made up that is bolted to the bellhousing then from there to the master is braided.
Braided would have been a lot simpler!

I used a cp3859-54 on mine so very similar. Yes bleed nipple on end of hose, I got Earls to make up a hose for me with a bleed on the end. Don't forget the bleed port on the slave is the one that sits highest when installed or it is with mine. Edit: Here is my original Saab slave (pile of crap): htt...
