Thanks for the replies (and for the PH reply too Stevie) - suspect I'm over-thinking this so will banjo and silicone it with heat shielding, and see how it holds up for the initial set up and bedding in period. The line that will be most susceptble is pretty accessible so it should be obvious if its...

Turbo soft coolant lines - suitable material

Need to make up some lines for a single GT35 and would like to use something soft and flexi for ease of routing. Have found some 13mm single ply silicone heater hose that is specced for max 200 deg C working temp, which I think should be fine for the coolant passing through but am unsure about the r...

Thanks - I doubt it will end up that remote from the outlet but good news there's some scope to move them around

Wideband sensor relative to wastegate exit

Any wisdom on where in relation to each other on a turbo motor a wideband sensor and wastegate exit might sit? Any difficulty in having the sensor upstream of the wastegate port if that otherwise fits well? Would O2 levels be expected to be different through the wastegate at all (can't think why but...

I've just got hold of a Frozen Boost charge cooler to use on a Tiv (also wanted to avoid a FMIC)... not installed yet so no experience of effectiveness but the one I plumped for has quite a following on big jetskis and is reputedly pretty efficient. Certainly well made - worth a squint at the websit...

Ok, thanks - it's a late 4.6 in a TVR and the basic configuration of the radiator side of the cooling system is pump > stat> swirl pot top > swirl pot bottom > rad top > through rad > rad bottom > return to pump. On the engine side of the stat is a tee off to the heater and the heater returns into ...

Turbo coolant loop pick uppoints

Single water cooled core to plumb in on a Serp RV8 - any perceived wisdom on best places to tee in for feed and return?

Sorry for the thread resurrection but anyone know if the two plugs are the same in sealing arrangements? Essentially, could the bottom one be used in the side if needs be?

Some more thoughts on this; having looked at the pressure sender earlier, I'm a bit concerned that hanging that and a line to the turbo off a T-piece is asking for trouble. All looks a tad exposed and dependent on the comparatively weedy 1/8 thread being strong enough to support it and not fatigue e...

Measurement favour please

Anyone with a 4.6 Serp motor or block to hand able to let me know the height of the crank centreline above the sump gasket surface please? Much appreciated if so.
