Rover SD1 Clutch Slave Fitting

Hi All,

I’ve just bought a genuine SD1 clutch slave cylinder off the Bay of E.

The port for the flexi pipe appears to be about 1/2 inch diameter but isn’t unf so assuming it’s metric fine?

Can anyone confirm the thread size please?

Thanks for the help.

Re: oil filter size

I’m assuming that the Cossie filter would fit a Serpentine 3.9 ?

Thanks All,

I do know that the 2 threaded terminals are not connected together so have 2 different uses.

There is nothing shown on the case to give any clues.......

Thanks

LRA 383 Alternator Wiring Query

Hi All, After a few years laid up in my garage I've finally got my V8 Morris truck up and running. Unfortunately after the long lay up the alternator was checked and found to be faulty, so that has been rebuilt. There are 2 large threaded studs on the back (not connected together) and 2 normal size ...

The jobs a gooden........so far. The dizzy came apart easily and nothing appeared to be broken. The springs had come adrift so once the casing was cleaned out and the bob weights cleaned and lubed everything was put back together. I adjusted the 'eye' for a suitable air gap and used a couple of mode...

Thanks to both! :D

I will have a closer look today.

BTW - Softdash where did you get the clip from?
Might have some at work but in case not.........

Another question, should the 'chopper' on the shaft touch the pickup 'eye' or just miss it?

Thanks again.

35DLM8 Dizzy - Exploded Diagram?

Hi Y'all, Can anyone help with this. I am going through everything on my newly built V8 Minor Pick-up ready for it's first drive and MOT :D The engine hasn't been run for a few months so I whipped out the dizzy (35DLM8) and spun the oil pump up with the drill. However, on putting the dizzy back I no...

Coil-over Measuring Advice Please

Hi All, I'm looking for some help here. My V8 Minor has been on the road for some time now and the front coil-overs used to have about 2 inches of travel. However checking it over earlier in the week the front of the car is now virtually sitting on the bump-stops AND I would like to lower it a tad m...

Thanks Harvey, Any idea where I can get an inhibitor switch from? Also, there is a 'black box' on the side of the 'box that sits over the selector shaft with 4 spade terminals on it. 2 terminals are marked 'S' and 2 are marked 'R'. What is it for and how should I wire it up? Thanks for all the help....

Hi and thanks for the advice. There is no inhibitor switch fitted to the gearbox and nowhere obvious to fit one. As I understand it some cars had this switch fitted on the selector assembly? Can anyone recommend somewhere I can get a selector light panel from or is it a Scrappy/Fleabay job? I think ...

Auto Gear Selector and Cable + Other Auto Questions

Hi All, I have a BW65 auto box and Rover v8 in a Morris Minor pick-up. The gear selector is a 'Mr Gasket' item bought second/hand off another forum a few years back. Does a anyone know if this will work with the box? The selector cable is too short. Can I extend this myself or is it best to get one ...
