Are you sure this isn't a casting number - cast into the side of the block.

The engine number is usually found stamped into the top of the block on the left hand side between the two centre cylinders.

Your engine was originally fitted to an SD1 with an auto box. The compression ratio was 9.35 : 1

The CR should be stamped near to the engine number

It keeps the RV8 running cooler which may be an issue when it is in custom/kit cars with limited engine bay space or limited airflow

Bearmach Crank Bearings

I have been offered a set of Bearmach crank bearings for a RV8 4.6 at a good price..

I am aware that Britpart bearings should be avoided at all costs but does anyone have any comments about Bearmach?
