Re: Oil pump
I believe the pressure relief piston has picked up and stuck open. I have had the same problem. Do not run the engine . Remove the pump and check that the piston is in the closed position. If not it has jammed. Find an engine rebuild company. They will hone to pump body and replace the piston and sp...

Re: Over heating
Paul I run the same engine, some tuning, and I have experienced overheating due to an airlock. I follow this routine:- Remove pressure cap Put cabin heater on full temperature and fan Start engine and watch for air bubbles When no more air bubbles, top up water level, don't forget antifreeze Replace...

Re: 3.5 Engine rebuild
The remove the dizzy and prime the oil pump with an electric drill is a MUST! Put the ignition on and wait for the orange light to go off as you spin up the pump. Re: Ignition timing 3.5 with cam
I recently had mine rebuilt engine with the same cam set up on a dyno at 15 BTDC at 1000rpm tickover. And 32 BTDC at 4000rpm. Both without vacuum attached. Power at engine 201 BHP. This should give you a good start but without a dyno setup it will be difficult to know if optimum! Good luck!

Re: V8 3.5 efi flapper throttle pot replacement?
Both these items would replace my original part. However, my fix cost me an hour of my time.

Re: V8 3.5 efi flapper throttle pot replacement?
Hi. I found that the wires get brittle and are subject to failure. I refurbished mine by carefully grinding down through the bakelite to the encased wires using a 3mm diamond tipped tool. I then carefully bent the wires up. This gave a reasonable length projecting through the top surface. I attached...
