I picked up the timing cover, water pump, timer, harmonic balancer, and pulleys from a 3.9 yesterday, looks like it will work,as long as nothing is different with the end of the crank where it drives the oil pump.

Serpentine belt

I’m mounting a blower on a Buick 215 and I thought I could save some space at the front of the engine by converting it to serpentine drive, so off to the junkyard looking for pulleys I could adapt only to find out that everything I looked at with serpentine belts had the water pump turning opposite ...

Which blower would be best ?

I have 3 blowers and I’m wondering which one would be the best choice to run on a 3.5. First is an Eaton m-90, the second is a Detroit 3-53, the third is a Detroit 4-53, any advice is welcome, Thanks. B.R.

I don’t know about Rover engines, but I’ve had the same problems with buicks and it turned out to be one of the oil feed passages up to the rocker shaft pedestal. Every time I had the problem, I would pull the rockers out and sure enough in one end of the head or the other the oil passage was blocke...

Already has a Buick v-6, but cast iron just doesn’t do it for me ! Lol
