The old girl scrubs up well. You should put the news up on the Healey Forum and if you don't then I will!

Perry, It's issue 78 and not much can be found here

Cheers,

Ian

I had years of odd troubles with my twin-spark but then put in the Mallory electronic conversion and had no problems since. In fact it is so good I have a Mallory programmable distributor sat in the original box waiting for it to go wrong.

Dave,

My 383 has Pro Comp heads and apart from a very expensive casting inclusion problem, that led to water p1ss1ng in one bore, they do what it says on the tin powerwise.

Technology has moved on and the HTD form with its deeper toothform and bigger tension members means that you can run the same width belt and get a greater safety factor. Moving on from standard HTD types you...

Zander,

You need to contact Flyingphil of Muscle Sprout fame. He ran Dell'Ortos IIRC on his RV8. He's on here occasionally but more on Retro Rides.

Thank you both for the pointer and it seems a much better approach than the route I thought of. If you fancy building something, I have a circuit which measures the voltage drop in the battery earth lead - either charge or discharge. I'm using it to drive a tri-colour LED which is amber when normal...
