Rover V8 rhoads lifters which pushrod end?
Hi, I'm still confused as to which pushrod end should fit my rhoads lifters for the rover V8, 5/32" or 3/16". The 5/32 fit right into into the bottom of the cup of the lifter, the 3/16 sit in the machined edge of the cup. Reason I ask is many years ago I had a pushrod and lifter fail and suspected i...

I've not had any failures with mine, but blue smoke could indicate valve seals or rings. Do the compression test like you say, is oil pressure ok? Mine originally wouldn't run, it would start but not idle firing out the holley carb but if you revved it fine above 3k, turned out to be a faulty electr...

Conrod balancing
Hi all, I've made a conrod balancing jig to measure end to end weight, repeatable to 1gm. I weighed the little ends and having made them all equal i now need to make the rods all the same weight taking it off the big end. Now the largest variance is 9gms ( next one is 5gms) , am i ok taking all this...

RS stg 2 heads vs Econotune
Hi I'm rebuilding my Tr7v8 3.5 as per Real Steels article in Fast car magazine many years ago, it already has Typhoon cam, rhoads lifters, adj pushrods, holley and offy manifold. Rebuilding with RS 9.75 pistons but now uprated cylinder heads too. My question is as RS don't do cylinder heads anymore,...
