Hi From what I have read both cranks will drop in, as I am sure you are aware you will need a combination of rods and pistons that will enable you to keep the pistons in the bores (at both ends). You really want to keep most of the reduction in deck height in the piston compression height as the rod...

Hi there was a capri sold in South Africa, and I think in Aus that came with a 302 V8 (Windsor) I think some have fitted the cleavland in the engine bay but it is big and heavy and involves a lot of panel bashing. There are quite a few small block chevys in Capris, there is room. The 302 allows the ...

Hi As Stevie says you probably would not notice any changes, on an engine in a higher state of tune retarding the cam a little would bring it into the power band a little sooner but flattening the power peak and advancing you would probably get a couple more BHP, especially if the engine was short ...

Hi
RPI have claimed many things in the past, one or two of them have been true, but those that were did not generally involve making a sale.

Hi Pell
I would start at 2/3 so more like £470 and take an offer a little bit lower to sell. From what I have gathered the blower cam, although still listed, is not actually available form RS any more as the last batch they sold the last one and they have not ordered more.

Hi I would not run without the thermostat, the system is designed to run with one and will have hotspots in the heads and block if you do not have one. you also need some form of expansion tank or method of relieving pressure but still getting water back into the system as it cools. A T piece in the...

Hi I would first investigate why the oil is being pushed out, it sounds like the crank case is being pressurised, I suspect the old dissy was leaking enough crank case gas past the bearings so as not to allow things to pressurise enough to force the oil past the oil seal. look at the breathing syste...

Hi in stock form the 4.2 pistons are a low compression height piston with a lot of dish so you end up with a low compression engine and rubbish squish band. They are also a pretty poor casting. From memory you can use another rover piston by turning down the top ring land by about 1/2 mm to get a hi...
