Both my V8 Minors weigh around 1100kg. Rover 3.9 engined one with hurricane cam and edelbrock carb and inlet through a jag IRS and BW 65 box does a 14.7 quarter at 96 mph - around 200 flywheel hp. Probably equates to 0-60 in around 6 seconds. My other Minor with an LS1 5.7 litre with around 350 fwhp...

Think you need to look at your 60ft times first. A 1/10 or two off that will get you into the 11's without the need for more power. Bigger / better rubber might be a better investment than a nitrous kit. Car has plenty grip, but is high geared. I know either a high stall converter or lower gearing ...

I think I'll be fitting a Nitrous Outlet kit next year to give it a bit of a boost. Not paying the prices here, but will pick it up on our Florida hols next May.
A 100 shot should see low 11's.

Runner up for the second year in the RWD category at Crail raceway. Just pipped by a bumper width by the ariel atom I've beaten 5 times before. My times were consistent though, but no 11's yet: My times: PETE SINCLAIR | MORRIS MINOR | 25 June 2017 Run Reaction 60ft Time 1/8 Mile Time 1/4 Mile Time L...

Just as well you never made the effort Stevie. I left Dundee in sunshine, but over in Fife the roads just got wetter the closer to Crail I got. The strip itself was very damp and in particular the start line. I waited around 2 hours to see if it would dry, but no chance. Only cars making a reasonabl...

Off to Crail tomorrow weather permitting. It should be dry, but cold. I've re fitted my skinny wheels, so I'm hoping to at least get back to 12.2's again. I've also bought a line lock, so will fit it over the winter and think about a cam and converter swap :)

There are plenty other Saabs to look at too - the 9-3's and 9-5's. Best to get one complete with the fans as they are a really neat unit.

I run a Saab 9000 radiator with associated fans in my chevy ls powered Morris Minor and it cools perfectly - and is a very cheap option. I'll measure it if you like. It would idle all day at 160 degrees F with the fans on and runs at this when moving.

Been out another couple of times with mixed results. Got a 12.2 @116 late last year, but first outing this year netted a best of 12.49 @115. Not sure why this should be as I think car is going better than ever. My 60 foot times are crap though as I have difficulty holding it on the brake with left f...
