Re: coil pack location
On the SD1, the original coil location is on the inner wing towards the rear and not that far from the exaust manifold. I'd expect passive coils not be be too worried by heat. coil pack location
If I could please pick someones brains (that sounds bad sorry) , I'm looking for a suitable location under the bonnet of my tr7 v8 to mount a pair of gen 2 coil packs. In front and behind of plenum too busy, there's bags of space on the passenger side inner wing area, just below the wiper motor, but...

Re: Cooling system tr7 v8 efi
Thanks, unfortunately I can't see the pics, which is a shame. Could I simplify the whole thing, top hose to thermostat housing, water pump to bottom rad. Outlet above this to lower outlet on header tank. Blank off heater outlet, and top outlet from header tank. No heater, but should work, and shoul...

Re: Cooling system tr7 v8 efi
I'm happy to lose heater, as it's a track day car, if this simplifies things.
I like the thermostat cover with temp sensor possibly to connect with electric fan?

Re: Cooling system tr7 v8 efi
There are so many custom coolant systems out there - might be best if you post up a few pics of your engine bay/radiator/header tank/heater matrix etc.. - then people can chime in with suggestions? Tom. Tom, yes I will get onto that - not a bad shout. Once I work out how to upload pics I will do so...

Rover v8 distributor blanking plate
Not sure if such a thing is on the general market but doing away with dizzy set up, going megasquirt, looking to blank off the distributor apperature with something that looks presentable. And yes, crank driven oil pump  Just seeing whats about, if anything, before I start making something hide...
